In Rawalpindi the Pakistan Peoples Party marked its PPP 58th founding day with a gathering at a local hotel organized by PPP Germany and the Peoples Party Workers Union. Vice President of PPP Punjab Malik Khalid Nawaz Bobby said that despite conspiracies and retaliatory actions the Peoples Party remains the popular party of the people, and that ideological, selfless and sincere workers are the party’s true strength.<\/p>\n
The event was presided over by PPP Germany spokesman Amjad Butt and coordinated by Workers Union leader Banaras Choudhry. Leading party figures who addressed the audience included Syed Yaseen Azad, Nasir Mir, Raja Zaheer Iqbal, Tariq Wahid Butt, Falak Sher Khan Lodhi, Saeed Akhtar Papa, Sohail Mukhtar, Malik Adil Butt, Nasir Qayyum, Abdul Rehman Toukli, Syed Masood Shah Advocate and Sardar Khalid Maqbool Advocate.<\/p>\n
Representatives from the women’s wing and a large number of party workers also attended. Among those present were Saadia Abbasi, Gulnaz Badshah, Saeeda Bibi, Shahzadi Kausar Gilani, Musarrat Gujar, Munirullah Butt, Rana Shoukat, Shafiq Choudhry, Malik Mustafa, Sheikh Ismail, Jahangir Butt, Malik Nadeem, Azhar Khan, Sheikh Arshad Baghi, Usman Satti, Rukhsar Abbasi, Chaudhry Safdar, Dr Imran, Asif Rasool, Raja Majeed, Javed Khan, Abid Raza and Chaudhry Akram, reflecting broad participation across party ranks.<\/p>\n
Speakers including Malik Khalid Nawaz Bobby, Amjad Butt, Banaras Choudhry, Nasir Mir and Raja Zaheer Iqbal emphasized that on the PPP 58th founding day the party’s workers renew their pledge to restore the Peoples Party’s grassroots popularity through unity and solidarity in streets and neighborhoods across the country.<\/p>\n
