The Expanded Program on Immunization Gilgit-Baltistan, with support from the World Health Organization, has launched a three-day provincial review meeting to assess progress on routine EPI, vaccine-preventable disease surveillance and the ongoing Measles-Rubella campaign.<\/p>\n
District Health Officers and their teams from all Gilgit-Baltistan districts are participating alongside representatives from WHO<\/strong>, UNICEF<\/strong> and provincial EPI officials. The gathering has been structured to allow district teams to present performance updates and to promote coordinated follow-up across the region.<\/p>\n Dr. Muhammad Iqbal<\/strong>, Director EPI GB, inaugurated the session with a detailed description of the meeting objectives, underlining the importance of joint evaluation and sustained collaboration to strengthen immunization services. Emphasis was placed on improving routine immunization delivery while maintaining strong surveillance for vaccine-preventable diseases.<\/p>\n On the opening day several districts shared their progress, with remaining districts scheduled to present over the next two days.
