Jahangir Khan Tareen attended the closing ceremony of the 5th South Punjab Mathematics Contest organised by the Tareen Education Foundation, stressing that mathematics is the backbone of IT and modern technology. He said only youth skilled in these fields can drive a transformation in Pakistan’s digital economy and that competitions like this prepare children with vital modern-era skills.<\/p>\n
At the conclusion of the event, Jahangir Khan Tareen presented cash prizes and appreciation shields to the position-holding students and praised their performance. He also spent time at an art exhibition by students from TEF-supported schools, commending the creative artwork and design projects and lauding the talent and effort on display.<\/p>\n
Following the ceremony, he visited the under-construction TICER Lodhran, South Punjab’s first modern IT institute being developed in Lodhran. TEF CEO Akbar Khan provided a detailed briefing on the university’s planned blocks, state-of-the-art IT labs, smart classrooms, a digital library and the current stages of design and completion for various sections.<\/p>\n
Once finished, TICER Lodhran is expected to offer thousands of students access to advanced IT education and create new opportunities for youth across South Punjab.
