Locals warn that the inoperative status of the Dhok Khabba water tanks is undermining public trust in service delivery.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Zaheer Ahmad Awan<\/strong>, chairman of the Citizens Action Committee, visited the Sharjah Ground cemetery site and spoke with residents who repeatedly raised the issue. He said the community first highlighted the problem long ago but WASA officials have remained silent spectators while the equipment rusts and connections deteriorate.<\/p>\n<p>Residents say the overhead and underground installations were funded in 2022 through development funds provided by former MPA <strong>Chaudhry Adnan<\/strong>. While the investment was welcomed, the Dhok Khabba water tanks have not been commissioned and cannot provide the intended relief to households facing irregular supply.<\/p>\n<p>The Citizens Action Committee warned that if WASA does not activate the completed tanks promptly, local people will launch a protest campaign.
