H.E. Prof. Dr. M. Iqbal Choudhary, Coordinator-General of OIC-COMSTECH, was presented the Shaheed Hakim Mohammed Said Award 2025 in science and education in a ceremony at Governor House, Lahore.<\/p>\n
The award was given by Governor Punjab, H.E. Sardar Saleem Haider Khan, at an event organised by Hamdard Pakistan where Mrs. Sadia Rashid, Chairperson of Hamdard Pakistan, was also in attendance. The ceremony recognised Dr. Choudhary’s exceptional contributions to scientific research and education.<\/p>\n
Recognised internationally for his leadership in natural-product chemistry, medicinal plant research, and innovation in traditional medicine, Iqbal Choudhary has led decades of work that has advanced Traditional Complementary Medicine across the OIC region and beyond. His research, collaborations, and institutional leadership with the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation have strengthened connections between traditional healing practices and modern scientific discovery.<\/p>\n
This honour adds to Iqbal Choudhary’s long list of global distinctions and reaffirms his legacy as a champion of integrating traditional medicine with contemporary science.
