The meeting focused on expanding collaboration in science, higher education and research to deepen long-standing Pakistan\u2013United States ties.<\/p>\n<p>The federal minister emphasized the need to boost joint programmes in science and advanced research so that students and researchers gain greater access to training and institutional partnerships. He highlighted that closer cooperation in higher education will create new pathways for skills development and human capital growth across Pakistan.<\/p>\n<p>Participants noted the significant role of the U.S. Fulbright programme, which currently enables many Pakistani students to pursue advanced degrees in the United States and contributes to national human resource development. The delegation and minister discussed ways to build on the Fulbright model and broaden exchange opportunities under the banner of US Pakistan education cooperation.<\/p>\n<p>Pakistan has set a target to prepare 10,000 high-quality PhDs over the next decade through initiatives like the US Knowledge Corridor, and officials said enhanced bilateral collaboration in research and higher education will be central to meeting that goal.
