Norway reiterated its commitment to gender equality, human rights and access to justice both offline and online, stressing that no one should have to choose between being online and being safe.<\/p>\n<p>Speakers highlighted how technology can widen opportunities for participation but also enable new forms of abuse, and called for concrete action to address technology\u2011facilitated harm. Participants underlined that digital violence requires serious attention from government, civil society and digital platforms to ensure survivors can seek redress and protection.<\/p>\n<p>In the Pakistani context, where online spaces are increasingly central to civic, professional and social life, the need to tackle digital violence is pressing. The event stressed measures such as better reporting mechanisms, legal remedies, awareness campaigns and stronger platform policies to protect rights and dignity while preserving the benefits of digital innovation.<\/p>\n<p>Yesterday&#8217;s discussions demonstrated both the challenges and the opportunities technology presents.
