The central executive has a competitive composition with PPG securing 14 of 24 seats and the Rising Pharmacists Panel capturing 10 central seats, marking the first time the panel has achieved double-digit representation at the centre in the Association\u2019s 38-year electoral history.<\/p>\n<p>Key central office bearers include <strong>Imran Ahmad Mumtaz<\/strong> as Vice President Punjab, <strong>Shahzad Hussain<\/strong> as Vice President Sindh, <strong>Dr. Abdul Aleem Awan<\/strong> as Vice President Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, <strong>Asmat Ullah Agha<\/strong> as Vice President Balochistan, and <strong>Muhammad Shifa Khan Bangash<\/strong> as Vice President Islamabad. <strong>Prof. Dr. Furqan K. Hashmi<\/strong> has been elected General Secretary and <strong>Faraz Ashraf<\/strong> will serve as Joint Secretary of PPA Centre.<\/p>\n<p>The most decisive result came in the Islamabad, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan branch where the Rising Pharmacists Panel led by <strong>Sardar Shabbir Ahmad<\/strong> achieved a complete clean sweep, winning all 24 contested seats. <strong>Khaqan Babar<\/strong> was elected President of the Islamabad-AJK-GB branch, consolidating the panel\u2019s regional mandate and signalling strong grassroots support against traditional blocs.<\/p>\n<p>At the executive committee level, <strong>Ahmad Jawad Qureshi<\/strong> was chosen as Finance Secretary and <strong>Prof. Dr. Mirza Tasawer Baig<\/strong> as Press Secretary. Elected executive members include representatives from Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan and Islamabad, while female representatives named to the committee are <strong>Misbah Noureen<\/strong> (Punjab), <strong>Dr. Afshan Siddiq<\/strong> (Sindh), <strong>Nabeela Niaz<\/strong> (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa), <strong>Asma Manzoor<\/strong> (Balochistan) and <strong>Zahida Ishraq<\/strong> (Islamabad).<\/p>\n<p>Under the Association\u2019s constitution, Sardar Shabbir Ahmad will serve as Senior Vice President as Immediate Past President, while Mr. Alamgir Rao will remain a member of the Executive Committee as Immediate Past General Secretary, providing continuity alongside the newly elected leadership.<\/p>\n<p>Representing pharmacists across Pakistan and an industry valued at approximately $3.2 billion, the Association\u2019s new leadership has pledged to safeguard professional rights, enhance regulatory influence and prioritise patient safety and ethical medicine governance.
