On 19 December 2025 the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Pakistan and the Pakistan National Council of the Arts opened a photo exhibition at the PNCA National Art Gallery in Islamabad to strengthen cultural ties and spotlight Uzbekistan’s heritage through photographic storytelling.<\/p>\n
The inauguration was led by Aurangzeb Khan Khichi<\/strong>, Federal Minister for National Heritage & Culture, who attended as Chief Guest. Attaullah Tarar<\/strong>, Minister for Information and Broadcasting, joined as Guest of Honour and Alisher Tukhtaev<\/strong>, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Pakistan, attended alongside political figures, diplomats and members of the media.<\/p>\n The Uzbekistan exhibition features work by renowned Pakistani photographers M. Azhar Hafeez<\/strong>, Ramzan Mughal<\/strong>, Shahid Qureshi<\/strong>, Tariq Sulemani<\/strong> and Gulrez Ghauri<\/strong>. Their images offer intimate perspectives on Uzbekistan’s landscapes, historic sites and cultural life, inviting visitors to experience the country’s rich traditions through a Pakistani lens.<\/p>\n As a gesture of appreciation for the PNCA’s role in hosting the event, Ambassador Tukhtaev presented a souvenir shield to M. Ayoub Jamali<\/strong>, Director General of PNCA, recognising the council’s support in organising the exhibition and promoting cultural exchange between the two countries.<\/p>\n The Uzbekistan exhibition is open to the public at PNCA Gallery No. 2 until 22 December 2025, with visiting hours from 10 am to 4 pm.
