During the raids police recovered more than 5,000 kite bodies and around 500 reels of chemically coated string commonly used for dangerous kite flying.<\/p>\n<p>According to sources, vendors were illegally selling kites and chemical-coated thread at several sites. The seized material has been taken into custody and formal cases have been registered against those involved in the trade.<\/p>\n<p>The administration emphasised that kite flying remains not only unlawful in many areas but also a serious threat to public safety.
