\nIn view of the overall law and order situation in District Bannu, Bannu Police carried out extensive, effective, and result-oriented operations against Fitna-al-Khawarij (FAKs) and other terrorist elements.
\nAccording to available data, a total of 134 terrorist attacks were recorded in District Bannu targeting police stations, police posts, check posts, police mobiles, and police parties. As a result of these attacks, 27 police personnel were martyred and 79 were injured. Due to the timely and courageous retaliatory actions by the police, 53 terrorists were killed and 163 were injured.
\nBannu Police conducted 168 Intelligence-Based Operations (IBOs) across the district, during which 105 terrorists were arrested and 65 terrorists were killed. In total, successful actions were taken against 170 terrorists.
\nPolice and security forces jointly conducted successful operations in the areas of Miryan, Hwaid, Daud Shah, Mamand Khel, Domel, and Barganto. During these joint operations, one police constable was martyred, while 11 police personnel and 5 civilians were injured.
\nIn these operations, 22 terrorists were killed and 4 were arrested, and the houses of several terrorists were also demolished.
\nTerrorists carried out 20 drone attacks targeting police installations and civilian populations, resulting in 19 police personnel injured, 9 civilians martyred, and 33 civilians injured.
\nHowever, after the installation of an anti-drone system on 18 July 2025, the situation improved significantly. More than 300 drone attacks were thwarted, and 4 drones were struck\/spoofed.
\nDespite limited resources, various security measures were implemented for the protection of police installations, including the installation of HESCO barriers, bunkers, double boundary walls, bulletproof gates, and CCTV cameras.
\nIn addition, work on the Safe City Project has also commenced to ensure the safety of both police personnel and the general public.
\nFor joint operations against terrorists, jirgas (tribal councils) were held with local elders from different areas. These efforts yielded positive results, and Chagha parties were formed. With public cooperation, several attacks by Fitna-al-Khawarij on police stations and posts were successfully foiled. Moreover, successful operations against Fitna-al-Khawarij were carried out in areas including Kakki, Bhart, Khojri, Barganto, and Sheikh Landak.
\nTo modernize Bannu Police in line with contemporary requirements, the force has been equipped with drones, anti-drone guns, sniper rifles, APCs, thermal imaging systems, tactical helmets, and bulletproof vehicles.
