The event was organised by the Peoples Youth Organization and the Peoples Students Federation and drew large turnout from party workers and community members.<\/p>\n<p>Speakers at the ceremony included PPP Punjab vice president Malik Khalid Nawaz Bobby, Raja Kamran Hussain, Malik Qasim Idris, Numberdar Malik Inam, Adeel Butt, Abdul Rehman Tookli, Malik Sabih Nawaz, Nadeem Qaiser, Malik Umar Ejaz, Adrees Kazmi, Agha Saqib Riaz and Rashid Islam Butt. They described Benazir Bhutto as more than a politician, calling her the voice of the oppressed, a beacon of hope for women and a symbol of democratic resilience for Pakistan.<\/p>\n<p>Those addressing the gathering said that Benazir Bhutto always treated dissent as the strength of democracy and worked tirelessly to strengthen parliamentary institutions. They emphasised that under her leadership Pakistan&#8217;s democratic credentials gained international recognition, and that her vision centred on equal application of law, strong institutions and accessible public services for all citizens.<\/p>\n<p>Speakers noted that her life was defined by struggle, commitment and public service, and that despite authoritarianism and violent politics she never compromised on the people&#8217;s right to rule.
