Each selected researcher will receive a grant of $5,000 to $7,000, funds that may be used to purchase scientific equipment, consumables, minor research tools and specialized literature to advance innovative projects.

A robust and transparent selection process preceded the awards. COMSTECH received a total of 690 research proposals from across OIC member states, and submissions were evaluated through a rigorous peer review by independent external experts to identify the most meritorious projects for funding.

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Choudhary, Coordinator General OIC-COMSTECH, congratulated the awardees and reiterated the organisation’s commitment to empowering young scientists, particularly women researchers. He urged recipients to pursue their work with dedication and innovation so that Women Research Grants translate into meaningful scientific outcomes and tangible benefits for their countries.

Beyond individual support, the programme aims to foster collaboration, reduce brain drain and strengthen the broader scientific ecosystem across OIC member states.
