Quaid-i-Azam University has rolled out its new e-Office Digital Office Management System across campus, marking a major step in the university’s digital transformation. The deployment was inaugurated by Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Niaz Akhtar and followed by a hands-on training workshop for faculty and administrative staff, with active participation from alumni and senior management.<\/p>\n
The system replaces traditional paper-based procedures with a secure digital workflow that allows users to create, forward, track, and archive files electronically. A personalized workspace called My Desk<\/strong> gives faculty and staff real-time visibility of pending actions, urgent items, and completed tasks, while built-in audit trails and document tracking enhance transparency and accountability across departments.<\/p>\n Beyond efficiency gains, the e-Office brings tangible administrative benefits by reducing delays, lowering paperwork, and ensuring reliable access to official records for faster decision-making. The platform is expected to contribute to a greener campus by significantly cutting paper consumption and related administrative burden.<\/p>\n The initiative was generously supported by QAU alumni, who demonstrated strong commitment to the university’s long-term modernization. Notable alumni attendees included Rehan Saeed Khan, Azam Habib, Dr Ghulam Ali Mallah, and Dr Shahzad Ali Gill, whose backing helped bring the DOMS project to fruition.<\/p>\n University leadership underscored that full benefits will depend on collective adoption, urging faculty and staff to integrate the e-Office into daily workflows.
