OIC-COMSTECH, in partnership with UNI and leading Chinese technical institutions, has launched a new suite of online digital courses aimed at boosting digital education and human capital across OIC Member States. The virtual ceremony held in Islamabad brought together senior academics, policymakers and industry partners to mark the opening of the initiative designed for cross-border learning and skills development.<\/p>\n
The programme was joined by senior representatives from partner institutions, including Cheng Shuqiang<\/strong>, President of Shaanxi Technical College of Finance & Economics, Kang Kun<\/strong>, Vice President of Henan Institute of Economics and Trade, Wu Jiaoyu<\/strong>, President of Guangzhou Songtian Polytechnic College, and Wang Peng<\/strong>, Managing Director of ITMC Technology Co. Ltd. Coordinator General Prof. Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Choudhary<\/strong> underscored how digital education can address contemporary socio-economic and technological challenges across the Muslim world while extending a long tradition of learning into the era of globalization.<\/p>\n The first phase has enrolled 530 students from 15 countries, including Somalia, Kenya, Nigeria, Mauritania, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Gambia, Yemen, Indonesia, Chad, Malaysia, China, the United Arab Emirates and Gabon. This diverse cohort reflects strong regional interest and highlights opportunities for Pakistani learners to access internationally developed curricula and digital platforms.<\/p>\n The online courses focus on market-relevant and future-oriented fields such as data science, artificial intelligence, digital entrepreneurship, renewable energy and public health. UNI and ITMC Technology Co. Ltd. have been credited for curriculum development, digital infrastructure and technical support that will ensure smooth delivery and meaningful outcomes.
