On January 17, 2026 at PPA House Lahore, the Pakistan Pharmacists Association (PPA) hosted a focused training session for pharmacists on the regulatory and practical aspects of Root Cause Analysis and CAPA. The program opened with the recitation of the Quran and welcoming remarks from Muhammad Alamgir Rao, President of PPA Centre, Professor Dr Syed Atif Raza, President PPA Punjab, and Dr Umair Ikram Dar, General Secretary PPA Punjab.<\/p>\n
Dr Muhammad Nadeem, Scrutiny Officer at the Punjab Quality Control Board, was the session’s guest speaker. He presented the principles and regulatory standing of Root Cause Analysis and Corrective & Preventive Actions, using clear, real-world examples from industry, hospital practice, and regulatory inspections. His explanations underlined how robust Root Cause Analysis supports CAPA workflows and strengthens compliance.<\/p>\n
Participants from diverse sectors engaged actively, posing detailed questions on implementing CAPA, documenting investigations, and aligning corrective measures with regulatory expectations. Dr Muhammad Nadeem provided comprehensive answers addressing operational challenges faced by pharmacists in both clinical and manufacturing settings, reinforcing the link between effective investigations and improved patient safety.<\/p>\n
Certificates were distributed at the close of the session to more than 100 attending pharmacists. The seminar included the presence of PPA life patron Dr Ayaz Ali Khan and senior members such as Mazamil Saeed Choudhry, Nadeem Iqbal, Professor Dr Nadeem Irfan, Professor Dr Mehtab Ahmad Khan, Professor Dr Humayun Riaz, Dr Kaleem Ullah, Dr Naeem Qaiser, Dr Jahanzeb Watto, Saqib Saeed Choudhry, Dr Ubaidullah, Dr Bilal Yaseen, Dr Mehrin Naz and Dr Asma Fareed Khan.<\/p>\n
Speaking at the event, AbdulMajeed Bhatti, Secretary Press PPA Punjab and Advocate, reiterated the association’s commitment to defending pharmacists’ rights, advancing pharmacy services, and pursuing independent prescription practices, pledging continued efforts toward implementation.
