Mustafa Kamal praised the Sultana Foundation for its long-standing work in education and health while highlighting that nursing staff<\/strong> and paramedical teams form the backbone of Pakistan’s healthcare system. He noted that doctors often see patients for limited periods, whereas nurses and paramedical staff remain engaged in care for nearly 23 hours a day.<\/p>\n

He urged healthcare workers to treat patients with compassion and kindness, reminding attendees that hospitals are places people turn to in severe pain and distress. Serving suffering humanity, he said, is among the noblest acts and brings enduring moral reward.<\/p>\n

Mustafa Kamal stressed that meaningful improvements in the health sector require collective effort. Alongside government action, he said the private sector must play an active role, and that healthcare should focus as much on prevention as on treatment to keep people well.<\/p>\n

Drawing attention to public health gaps, he warned that the country lacks a comprehensive sewage treatment system and cited experts who estimate nearly 70 percent of diseases are spread through contaminated water. He added that providing clean drinking water could cut disease incidence by up to 70 percent.<\/p>\n

He also identified uncontrolled population growth as a major hurdle to development, noting that about 6.1 million children are born in Pakistan each year and urging policies and public awareness to align population growth with available resources.<\/p>\n

On preventive care, Mustafa Kamal asked parents to ensure children receive vaccination against thirteen diseases, underlining that the government supplies these vaccines free of charge. He called for strengthened awareness and education to address misconceptions and concerns about vaccination.<\/p>\n

Noting that Pakistan remains one of two countries where polio has not yet been eliminated, he emphasized the urgent need to educate and convince families to have their children vaccinated and protected against polio.<\/p>\n

Improving the health sector, he concluded, is a shared responsibility of government and the public. Concerted action to support nursing staff, expand preventive services, ensure clean water and increase vaccination coverage is essential to safeguard communities from preventable diseases.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
