{"id":16655,"date":"2026-02-03T06:22:49","date_gmt":"2026-02-03T06:22:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.peakpoint.pk\/en\/2026\/02\/03\/johor-assembly-delegation-arrives-karachi\/"},"modified":"2026-02-03T06:22:49","modified_gmt":"2026-02-03T06:22:49","slug":"johor-assembly-delegation-arrives-karachi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.peakpoint.pk\/en\/2026\/02\/03\/johor-assembly-delegation-arrives-karachi\/","title":{"rendered":"Johor Assembly Delegation Touches Down in Karachi"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A delegation from the Johor State Legislative Assembly has arrived in Karachi to take part in the 7th CPA Asia Regional Conference and the 2nd Joint CPA Asia &amp; South-East Asia Regional Conference hosted by the Provincial Assembly of Sindh from 3 to 7 February.<\/p>\n<p>The Johor Assembly delegation is led by Speaker <strong>Datuk Dr Haji Mohd Puad Bin Zarkashi<\/strong> and includes his spouse <strong>Dr Rubiah Leman<\/strong>, Assembly Secretary <strong>Mohd Ezwan Abdul Ghani<\/strong>, observer member <strong>Khairul Hazwan Bin Mohamad<\/strong> and members <strong>Datuk Mohd Yasla Bin Ismail<\/strong> and <strong>Datuk Mohd Fuad Bin Tukirin<\/strong>. The visit brings together legislators and officials to engage on parliamentary cooperation and regional issues addressed at the CPA Asia events.<\/p>\n<p>The delegation was welcomed on arrival at Jinnah International Airport by Member Provincial Assembly of Sindh <strong>Dr Sikandar Ali Shoro<\/strong>. The reception reflects ongoing ties between Sindh and Malaysian state legislatures and sets the stage for discussions and exchanges during the conference.<\/p>\n<p>Participation by the Johor Assembly at the CPA Asia gatherings offers an opportunity for knowledge sharing on legislative practices and for strengthening relations between provincial assemblies.
