The N4HK Training kicked off at the National Special Education Centre for Physically Challenged Children in G-8\/4 under the Secretary, Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training’s vision to strengthen special education through capacity building, institutional support and meaningful CSR partnerships. The programme aims to reinforce health and nutrition awareness within special education settings while integrating inclusive approaches across the Directorate General of Special Education.<\/p>\n
The session was coordinated by the National Institute of Special Education and attended by 45 faculty members and professionals from DGSE service delivery centres. Participants joined from across the city to take part in a focused programme designed to translate policy-level commitments into practical classroom and student-support practices.<\/p>\n
The first technical presentation was delivered by Ms. Sara Farooq<\/strong>, a registered dietitian and nutritionist, who focused on nutrition awareness and promoting healthy lifestyle practices tailored for learners with special needs. The session was fully accessible with Sign Language interpretation to ensure all attendees could engage and benefit from the material.<\/p>\n Despite being scheduled in the second half of the day, faculty members and professionals remained highly attentive and actively engaged, asking practical questions and sharing classroom experiences. Their responsiveness reflected a strong commitment to professional development and to improving student wellbeing across special education centres.<\/p>\n Capt. (R) Asif Iqbal Asif<\/strong>, Director General DGSE, addressed the participants and underscored the need for sustained teacher training and the integration of health education into daily programmes at special centres. Ms. Zaira Ahmad<\/strong>, Manager Corporate Affairs and Creating Shared Value at Nestle Pakistan, reiterated the company\u2019s commitment to supporting inclusive, sustainable health initiatives under the N4HK Training framework.<\/p>\n The training will continue through Friday and Saturday and is planned to be replicated in phases at all DGSE special education centres.
