An inter-university digital content creation competition concluded in Islamabad on World Radio Day, organised by Riphah Institute of Media Sciences in collaboration with Radio Pakistan Rawalpindi. Students from universities across the twin cities took part, presenting projects that combined traditional radio values with modern digital storytelling.<\/p>\n
The closing ceremony brought together Riphah International University’s Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Anis Ahmad<\/strong>, Director Programs Radio Pakistan Ms Musarrat Sharak<\/strong>, and Radio Pakistan Rawalpindi Station Director Atif<\/strong> with his team, alongside faculty members, media professionals and a large student audience.<\/p>\n Dr Riaz Adil<\/strong>, Head of the Department at Riphah Institute of Media Sciences, described Radio Pakistan as a national asset that plays a key role in promoting national identity and public awareness. He expressed pride that Riphah hosted the event and congratulated the students, noting that the creative skills displayed in digital content are central to the country’s future.<\/p>\n Professor Dr Anis Ahmad highlighted radio’s historical and social importance, recalling its role before and after Pakistan’s independence. He urged students to value radio as an effective medium in the digital era and to promote responsible communication. He also reaffirmed Riphah University’s commitment to ongoing collaboration with Radio Pakistan.<\/p>\n Ms Musarrat Sharak emphasised that radio remains one of the strongest and most effective communication channels in Pakistan. She praised the partnership between Riphah Institute of Media Sciences and Radio Pakistan Rawalpindi, saying events like this encourage young people to use media positively and constructively.<\/p>\n The competition concluded with performance-based certificates presented to students who demonstrated outstanding work.
