Ramadan football action began in Islamabad with the launch of the 14th UAE Ambassador’s Cup, attracting a large turnout of diplomats, officials and local spectators to celebrate sport and community during the holy month.<\/p>\n
The opening ceremony welcomed the Ambassador of Kuwait, the Ambassador of Lebanon and the Ambassador of Zimbabwe, along with the Deputy Head of Mission of the United States, senior Pakistani government officials, members of the wider diplomatic community and representatives of the media.<\/p>\n
Hosted by the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates, the tournament aims to promote sportsmanship, cultural exchange and stronger people-to-people ties during Ramadan.
