Thousands of students, university leaders and industry representatives will converge in Islamabad from May 4 to 6 for ISCE 2026, a three-day International Students Convention & Expo designed to accelerate academic collaboration and youth-led innovation. The event follows five successful editions held in Lahore, Karachi, Northern Sindh and Faisalabad, and is expected to attract participation from more than 150 universities and over 15,000 students.<\/p>\n
Prof. Dr. Niaz Ahmad Akhtar<\/strong>, Chairperson of the Higher Education Commission, has accepted the role of Patron-in-Chief and formally launched the Convention at a cake-cutting ceremony at the Islamabad Club attended by ambassadors, members of the diplomatic corps, Vice Chancellors, industrialists and senior academic leaders. The patronage underscores the national significance of ISCE 2026 and its role in strengthening academia-industry links.<\/p>\n The program will feature student competitions, innovation-focused project exhibitions and industrial stalls alongside career guidance sessions and academic and research presentations. The Lyallpur Industrial Pavilion will showcase industry collaborations, while dedicated Education, Tourism and Diplomatic Pavilions will deepen international and sectoral engagement. Cultural activities and a variety of sports competitions are also planned to foster broader student participation.<\/p>\n Student competitions and specialist workshops are scheduled at Quaid-i-Azam University, with parallel seminars, panel discussions and thematic academic sessions organised by other higher education institutions across Islamabad and Rawalpindi. These activities aim to provide practical exposure, networking opportunities and mentorship for emerging student innovators and researchers.<\/p>\n Complementing the campus events, the Convention\u2019s international sporting dimension includes an International Handball Referees Training and Certification Course from May 5 to 15, 2026, followed by the International Handball Tournament from May 17 to 22, 2026, at Government College University Faisalabad with participation from national and international teams. These engagements will broaden ISCE 2026\u2019s global outreach and promote sporting exchanges among universities.<\/p>\n Organisers say ISCE 2026 will serve as a comprehensive platform for nurturing youth talent, promoting creativity and leadership, and strengthening collaborations between academia, industry and international partners.
