In Islamabad students of the Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology received laptops under the Prime Minister Laptop Scheme at a ceremony held on Tuesday, with a total of 390 students benefitting in this cohort.<\/p>\n
Minister of State for Education and Professional Training Wajiha Qamar<\/strong> attended as the chief guest and, together with Vice Chancellor Dr Zabta Khan Shinwari<\/strong>, personally distributed the devices to the students to support their studies and research.<\/p>\n Speaking at the event, Wajiha Qamar said the vision of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is to transform the future of Pakistan\u2019s youth by connecting them with the world through modern technology. She emphasised that the Prime Minister Laptop initiative enables learners to access global knowledge and educational resources from home.<\/p>\n She praised the university\u2019s progress in higher education and research and announced that the government will soon provide a bailout package to assist the institution\u2019s development and address its financial challenges.<\/p>\n Dr Zabta Khan Shinwari<\/strong> said the university is fulfilling its mission of promoting education and research in Urdu as the national language while contributing to national development.
