The university&#8217;s membership in the UN Climate Partnership connects faculty and students with global experts to tackle region-specific climate challenges.<\/p>\n<p>Under this collaboration, a selected team of students will carry out supervised research on climate change impacts, <em>adaptation strategies<\/em>, and sustainable solutions tailored to Pakistan and the broader South Asian region. The programme is designed to strengthen technical, analytical, and policy-oriented research skills while ensuring projects remain relevant to local agricultural and environmental needs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman<\/strong>, Vice Chancellor PMAS-AAUR, said the university is proud to join the initiative and expects the partnership to accelerate work on sustainable agriculture, renewable energy adoption, and climate-resilient farming practices in arid and semi-arid zones. He highlighted that participation in the UN Climate Partnership will empower students and faculty to contribute meaningfully to both national and international climate action.<\/p>\n<p>The university will prioritise applied research and innovation that addresses practical challenges faced by farmers and rural communities, reinforcing Pakistan&#8217;s voice in global climate discourse.
