The collaboration brings together filmmaking and legal advocacy to drive enforcement and prevention across vulnerable communities.<\/p>\n<p>The partnership pairs SOC Films&#8217; storytelling and public engagement expertise with Legal Aid Society&#8217;s rights-based legal interventions to expose enforcement gaps and support practical reform. &#8220;Child marriage persists where silence and legal loopholes intersect,&#8221; said Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, stressing the need to align narrative with legal expertise to strengthen accountability and turn protection into action.<\/p>\n<p>The campaign will deepen public understanding of child marriage laws while addressing underlying social, economic and climate-driven pressures that push families toward early marriage. Activities will include content creation, community outreach and legal awareness initiatives designed to both prevent new cases and improve enforcement where the law already exists.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Haya Emaan Zahid<\/strong> of the Legal Aid Society said, &#8220;Child marriage is not just a social issue, it is a legal and human rights violation. Every child marriage is a childhood stolen.&#8221; The partnership aims to combine law, media and community engagement to ensure enforcement, strengthen systems, drive accountability and pursue legislative reform where needed.<\/p>\n<p>Over the next two years the campaign will roll out multi-platform storytelling, community-based engagement and policy-level advocacy with an emphasis on providing viable alternatives to families facing financial hardship, displacement or climate stress.
