Pakistan Freelancers Association (PAFLA) and SI Global Solutions have signed a Memorandum of Understanding in Karachi to strengthen Pakistan freelancing. The agreement was signed by PAFLA chairman Ibrahim Amin and SI Global Solutions CEO Dr Noman A Said and sets a framework for joint initiatives aimed at expanding opportunities for freelancers across the country.<\/p>\n
Under the MoU both organisations will run training workshops, mentorship programmes, industry linkages and awareness campaigns to promote freelancing as a sustainable career path. SI Global Solutions will bring its training unit for freelancers and students and practical coaching on business development strategies while PAFLA will mobilise the freelance community to ensure these programmes reach early-career talent.<\/p>\n
Ibrahim Amin highlighted the need for structured support to harness Pakistan’s youth talent and called on IT companies to help bridge skill gaps. Dr Noman A Said stressed that private sector engagement and capacity building are essential to empower young professionals, enabling them to develop competitive skills and access global digital markets.<\/p>\n
The collaboration comes as Pakistan’s freelancing sector shows significant growth, earning over $500 million<\/strong> in foreign exchange in the first half of the current financial year and on track to exceed $1 billion<\/strong> by year end.
