The newly completed Sui Gas pipeline in Chaklala Scheme-III was inaugurated today, bringing long-awaited utility access to residents and easing local energy concerns. Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Broadcasting, Barrister Danyal Chaudhry<\/strong>, said the project reflects the government’s focus on delivering basic amenities at citizens’ doorsteps and promised strict oversight to prevent delays or negligence.<\/p>\n

Chaudhry noted that despite a challenging global energy environment exacerbated by regional tensions, the administration under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has implemented prudent policies to shield the public from severe price and supply shocks. Highlighting Pakistan’s diplomatic role in recent regional developments, he credited the government’s mediation efforts and said international appreciation of Pakistan’s stance has strengthened the country’s standing. Addressing concerns over Pakistan’s international reputation, Chaudhry expressed regret over the Geneva incident involving a family member of PTI leadership and described such episodes as damaging to national interests. He criticized PTI’s past opposition to IMF engagement and attempts to challenge Pakistan’s GSP Plus status, framing these moves as contrary to the country’s welfare.<\/p>\n

The Parliamentary Secretary emphasized that the Sui Gas pipeline will directly improve living standards in Chaklala by providing reliable gas access, a long-standing local demand.
