The Pakistan Tennis Federation has concluded selection trials and finalised the Pakistan Davis Cup Juniors squad to compete in Shymkent, Kazakhstan, from 16 to 24 May 2026. Trials were held at the PTF Tennis Complex in Islamabad from 30 March to 2 April 2026 as part of preparations for the Davis Cup Juniors event.<\/p>\n
A total of 12 players were invited to the trials on the basis of current rankings and recent performances, while Abubakar Talha<\/strong> was exempted from attending in recognition of his recent outstanding results. The players chosen to represent Pakistan are Abubakar Talha<\/strong>, Hassan Usmani<\/strong> and Zohaib Afzal Malik<\/strong>, who will travel to Shymkent to contest the international competition.<\/p>\n PTF leadership, including President Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi<\/strong> and Secretary General Col. Zia-ud-din Tufail<\/strong>, along with the federation management, extended their best wishes to the selected players and their families as the team prepares for the Davis Cup Juniors campaign. The federation said the selection reflects current form and readiness to compete on the regional stage.<\/p>\n As the squad moves into the final phase of preparation, the focus will be on match readiness and representing Pakistan with determination in Shymkent.
