The expansion builds on more than <strong>USD 40 million<\/strong> already deployed to support MGN Pakistan\u2019s growth, technology and capability development.<\/p>\n<p>The new centres are designed to widen access to opportunity for skilled professionals across Pakistan. MGN Pakistan now draws talent from more than 30 cities and operates a merit-based hiring framework that creates career pathways regardless of location. This approach helped MGN Pakistan more than double its workforce over the past three years to over <strong>520 employees<\/strong>, with further expansion planned as part of Mashreq\u2019s global operating strategy.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at the launch, Mark Edwards, Group Head of Operations at Mashreq Group, said &#8220;The Offshore Centres in Karachi and Lahore are an important part of Mashreq\u2019s distributed operating model. They allow us to tap into Pakistan\u2019s expanding digital and financial talent pool, while reinforcing our commitment to operational excellence and innovation across the Group.&#8221; The centres strengthen Mashreq Pakistan\u2019s ability to deliver consistent services to global operations while growing local capability.<\/p>\n<p>MGN Pakistan has introduced structured programmes to support upskilling, career mobility and gender inclusion. Women now represent 35% of the workforce, among the higher participation ratios in Pakistan\u2019s financial sector, and the framework is designed to enable young professionals to build technical and operational careers within a global institution without relocating abroad. &#8220;Mashreq\u2019s investment in Pakistan is shaped by a long-term view of the country\u2019s talent and digital potential,&#8221; said Muhammad Hamayun Sajjad, CEO of Mashreq Pakistan.<\/p>\n<p>Pakistan has seen rising demand for digital financial services supported by stronger digital payments infrastructure and growing smartphone adoption. MGN Pakistan plays a role in sustaining that momentum by creating employment pathways, accelerating capability development and enhancing operational resilience for Mashreq\u2019s global business.<\/p>\n<p>Faisal Muqeet, Head of Mashreq Global Network Pakistan, said the aim is to strengthen MGN Pakistan as an offshore centre built on merit, diversity and performance so talent from across the country can contribute to global financial services. The workplace has received external recognition for culture and gender inclusion from assessments such as Great Place to Work and Best Organization for Women.
