The session was chaired by Chairman of the Planning and Development Board, Dr. Naeem Rauf, and attended by Secretary P&amp;D Rafaqat Ali, Chief Economist Imtiaz Ahmed, board members and officials from relevant departments.<\/p>\n<p>Major allocations include <strong>Rs2.80 billion<\/strong> for the dualisation, rehabilitation and improvement of the Okara\u2013Depalpur Road in District Okara, and <strong>Rs3.47 billion<\/strong> for the dualisation and rehabilitation of the road from Housing Colony Chowk to Farooqabad in District Sheikhupura. These road upgrades are a key element of the province&#8217;s broader Punjab development agenda to improve connectivity and reduce travel times for commuters and freight.<\/p>\n<p>Further investment of <strong>Rs2.55 billion<\/strong> was approved for the rehabilitation and construction of the Lodhran\u2013Jalalpur Road from N-5, which also includes the construction of a flyover to ease traffic flow. The PDWP allocated <strong>Rs1.49 billion<\/strong> for establishing an integrated Record Preservation and Public Access Management System at divisional headquarters across the province, a step expected to modernise records handling and improve public access to information.<\/p>\n<p>Officials also approved a position paper for salaries covering 164 project posts under various development schemes and sanctioned the creation of posts for the Punjab Probation and Parole Service.
