The Pakistan FIFAe programme was formally unveiled in Lahore by the Pakistan Football Federation as the country entered the FIFAe Nations League for the first time. PFF President Mohsen Gilani<\/strong> led the announcement, joined by Vice President Hafiz Zakaullah<\/strong> and newly appointed eFootball Manager Shahzeb Raza<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

President Gilani described the initiative as a major step to promote football in Pakistan and to raise the nation s profile on the international stage, saying the programme gives young Pakistanis a practical platform to showcase talent while exploring digital income streams.<\/p>\n

Shahzeb Raza briefed the media on the programme structure and confirmed that the initial national eFootball squad was picked on merit after formal nationwide trials. A new round of trials is underway to widen the national player pool, and Raza highlighted that esports offers careers beyond playing, including content creation and partnerships with international publishers.<\/p>\n

The PFF plans to mainstream FIFAe culture across the country to lower barriers to entry, with Gilani pointing to Korea Republic and Indonesia as benchmarks for rapid growth in eFootball. He expressed confidence that Pakistan will follow a similar development path in the coming months.<\/p>\n

Gilani also noted progress across the federation, referencing the Pakistan Women s National Team competing in the FIFA Series and recording victories, and the Pakistan U17 side s recent successes as evidence of a strengthening domestic pipeline.<\/p>\n

On player eligibility and development, Gilani affirmed that any Pakistani talent worldwide may represent the country. He added that a domestic talent discovery programme is active and that plans for a professional league for Pakistani players are being explored.<\/p>\n

Vice President Hafiz Zakaullah praised the federation s efforts and described Pakistan s participation in the FIFA Series and FIFAe Nations League as a historic milestone that will boost national morale at international events.<\/p>\n

On the competitive front Pakistan advanced into gameweek one qualifying thanks to walkovers against Papua New Guinea and Guam, then lost narrowly 1-0 to Indonesia, were beaten 2-1 by Myanmar and 4-1 by Korea Republic.
