Algeria will host the 57th edition of the Algiers International Fair from June 22 to 27, 2026, with Spain as guest of honor, and the Algerian Embassy in Islamabad is inviting Pakistani trade and industry stakeholders to participate.<\/p>\n
The 2025 fair saw participation from 684 companies, including 145 foreign firms from 31 countries, and the Algiers International Fair has become an increasingly important platform for Pakistani exporters: the number of participating Pakistani companies grew from 12 in 2022 to more than 170 in 2024.<\/p>\n
Bilateral trade between Algeria and Pakistan is gaining momentum and recently stood at about $43.93 million. Pakistan exports textiles, surgical items and rice to Algeria, while Algeria supplies minerals, fertilizers and phosphates, reflecting opportunities for deeper cooperation in commodities and manufactured goods.<\/p>\n
Both countries are now targeting expanded collaboration in energy, mining, agriculture, textiles, information technology and the blue economy. Pakistan\u2019s business community can benefit from Algeria\u2019s expertise in mining and natural resources, and institutional ties such as the Joint Business Council formed in 2022 by the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry and the Algerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry aim to facilitate concrete deals.<\/p>\n
