Hum Hain Pakistan\u201d SDG Youth Campaign, Introductory Meeting Sets Action Plan for Schools & Universities<\/p>\n
ISLAMABAD \u2013 An introductory meeting chaired by Ms. Shaista Pervaiz, Convenor of the Parliamentary Task Force on the SDGs and Member of the National Assembly, was held today at the National Assembly to finalize the action plan for the \u201cHum Hain Pakistan\u201d SDG Youth Campaign. The initiative aims to embed Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) education and action across Islamabad\u2019s schools, colleges, and universities.<\/p>\n
Barrister Danyal Chaudhry, Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Information & Broadcasting, and Ms. Wajiha Qamar, Minister of State at the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training were active participants in the session. Barrister Danyal reaffirmed his commitment to bridging policy and grassroots implementation through youth engagement.<\/p>\n
The meeting outlined a structured \u201cLearning + Action\u201d model to transform students from passive learners into active change-makers.<\/p>\n
The campaign is led by the SDG Parliamentary Task Force in collaboration with the International Governance and Sustainability Institute (IG-SI), United Peacekeepers Federal Council (UNPKFC), and the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training.<\/p>\n
It aligns with Pakistan\u2019s five-year economic plan Uraan Pakistan and its 5E framework (Exports, E-Pakistan, Environment, Energy & Infrastructure, Equity & Empowerment), contributing to national progress toward Agenda 2030.<\/p>\n
