Kinnaird College for Women emerged as champions of the Lahore Intervarsity League Cricket Tournament after a dominant nine-wicket victory over the University of Education in the final at Kinnaird College Lahore.<\/p>\n
The University of Education won the toss and elected to bat but managed only 35 for 7<\/strong> in six overs. Only Tehreem reached double figures with 15<\/strong> runs, while Kinnaird\u2019s bowling attack kept the innings tightly controlled. Amania Abid<\/strong> stood out for Kinnaird, claiming three important wickets to stall the opposition.<\/p>\n Chasing a modest target of 36, Kinnaird College reached the mark inside two overs with one wicket down. Fatima Shahid<\/strong> played an aggressive cameo, finishing with a sparkling 28<\/strong> to guide her side to victory in the Intervarsity Cricket final.<\/p>\n Lahore College for Women University<\/em> secured third place in the event. The closing ceremony was presided over by Principal Prof. Dr. Iram Anjum<\/strong>, who presented trophies and medals to the winning teams and standout players. Distinguished guests included Vice Principal Dr. Kalsoom Akhtar<\/strong>, Dr. Aiysha Safdar<\/strong> (Academic Dean Social Sciences and Law), Dr. Helen Khokhar<\/strong> (Dean of Intermediate) and Dr. Ammara Rubab<\/strong> (Head of Sports Department).<\/p>\n Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Iram Anjum praised the performances across the tournament and encouraged students to take part in sports alongside academic pursuits.
