Humnava has released its sixth track, the qawwali Lost in Love, recorded at Hostel Nomads against the evocative landscape of Hunza. The song folds traditional forms of collective surrender into a contemporary arrangement, exploring ishq as devotion, longing and a shared human confession.<\/p>\n
Curated by Xulfi<\/strong> and Sherry Khattak<\/strong>, Lost in Love features lead vocals by Zain Ali<\/strong> and Zohaib Ali<\/strong> of Zain Zohaib, with contributions from Shahid Hussain<\/strong> and Rehan Ali<\/strong> of Damsaaz. Backing voices include Meherban Aleem, Faizan Ali, Basit Khan and Nawaz Ali Khan Rozdar, alongside Humnava vocalists Ehsan Ali, Ruzzam Ali, Sameer Ali, Abdul Waheed, Muhabat Ali, Sharafat Ali, Raheel Anwar and Mudassar Ali, creating the collective energy integral to the track.<\/p>\n The musical arrangement brings rubab, dholak, guitars and a modern rhythm section together: Jbinternational on bass, Jojo on drums, Elijah Solo on electric guitar, Melvin Arthur on acoustic guitar, Ali Habib and Abdul Wajid on rubab, and Adnan Karim on dholak and percussion. Written by Zain Zohaib, Imran Hunzai and Xulfi, and composed by Zain Zohaib and Xulfi, Lost in Love was arranged by Xulfi and Sherry Khattak and produced and mixed by Xulfi to maintain a seamless blend of tradition and contemporary texture.<\/p>\n Co-founder and creative director Xulfi described the song as an exploration of love that refuses a single name, a collective admission of being undone and choosing love again. That spirit of shared confession informs the performances and the record’s intimate yet expansive sound, anchoring the qawwali in local roots while reaching wider musical conversations.<\/p>\n The official video, directed by Aamir Mughal with associate directors Ghous Hussain and Shahzaib Qureshi, extends the song’s emotional language. Second unit cinematography was led by Babar Dahr, Fahad Mehmood and Mir Tayyab Khan, with Xulfi acting as consulting editor-director. Post production was handled by Mehroz Raza with grading by Leonardo Mareso, while production design and art direction were led by Aqeel ur Rehman and Sara Vohra. Styling and wardrobe were overseen by Wajeeha Badar and Sabir Amin, with hair and grooming by Trio Salon.<\/p>\n Lost in Love continues Humnava’s Season 1 arc after releases such as Hairan Amanam, Noor-e-Nazar, Qataghani, Holoyor and Sway, reinforcing the platform’s mission to bring Pakistani musical traditions into conversation with diverse sounds and artists.
