The launch ceremony was held at the Maryam Nawaz Centre of Excellence in Okara, where Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Sania Ashiq attended as the chief guest.<\/p>\n<p>Officials present at the event included Secretary Special Education, Director General Special Education, MPA Mian Muhammad Munir, Deputy Commissioner Ahmed Usman Javed, PML-N leader Chaudhry Fayyaz Zafar and DPO Dr. Asad Ijaz Malhi. Together, they inaugurated the distribution process for the <strong>Himmat Card<\/strong>, which is being rolled out under the directives of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on the occasion, Sania Ashiq said that 29,768 eligible special children across Punjab will receive the <strong>Himmat Card<\/strong> under the provincial welfare initiative. She added that 96 students at the Maryam Nawaz Centre of Excellence in Okara were given their cards during the ceremony, bringing the program into immediate action at the local level.<\/p>\n<p>She said the initiative reflects the chief minister\u2019s vision of giving special children focused support and practical facilities. According to her, the Punjab Government is already providing a wider package of care that includes assistive devices, nutritious food, therapy services and other support programs aimed at improving daily life for children with special needs.<\/p>\n<p>Sania Ashiq also announced that satellite campuses of autism schools will be established in every division of Punjab so children can access assessment and therapy services closer to home. She said the government is also providing fortified biscuits and protein-enriched milk to around 45,000 special children every day as part of its nutrition support program.<\/p>\n<p>She said the <strong>Himmat Card<\/strong> is more than a welfare card, calling it a tool for confidence, independence and economic empowerment. She noted that the facilities available at the Centre of Excellence are comparable to, and in some cases better than, those offered in the private sector.<\/p>\n<p>Highlighting the broader commitment of the government, Sania Ashiq said special children are being encouraged to live dignified, independent and productive lives. She credited the success of the program to the personal attention of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif and said the provincial team is working with dedication to turn these welfare plans into real support on the ground.<\/p>\n<p>She further said Pakistan is moving toward a brighter future under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.
