KARACHI: SI Global Solutions (Pvt) Ltd has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Jovision Technology Co., Ltd., a China-based global provider of intelligent video surveillance solutions, to support Safe City initiatives and maritime safety infrastructure in Pakistan.<\/p>\n
The Karachi announcement said the partnership is aimed at introducing AI-driven CCTV technology and modern marine equipment to strengthen public safety and maritime security across the country.<\/p>\n
SI Global Solutions is a maritime solutions provider, ICT system integrator and Safe City consultant, with offices in the United States and the United Arab Emirates, besides a nationwide presence in Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi. The company said the agreement with Jovision reflects its focus on bringing international engineering practices, innovation, AI-based solutions and smart technologies to Pakistan\u2019s cities and ports.<\/p>\n
Under the MoU, SI Global Solutions will serve as Jovision\u2019s exclusive partner in Pakistan for the deployment of AI-powered surveillance systems for Safe City projects. The collaboration will cover intelligent CCTV systems, cloud-based video analytics, full-colour night vision and integrated command and control platforms to support urban safety and crime prevention.<\/p>\n
The cooperation also includes the maritime sector. As part of the initiative, SI Global Solutions has procured advanced polyurethane buoys from China for use at Pakistani ports. The company said it is the first to introduce polyurethane buoys in Pakistan, adding that these buoys require low maintenance, have a longer service life and offer better resistance to harsh sea and weather conditions.<\/p>\n
A delegation of Safe City and maritime experts from SI Global Solutions, led by Commander (Retd) Liaquat Ali PN, recently visited China. During the visit, technical discussions and product demonstrations helped pave the way for the MoU with Jovision and for sourcing IALA-compliant marine equipment to improve safety and navigation in Pakistani ports and harbours.<\/p>\n
