Sajjad Mustafa Syed has been restored as Chairman of the Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA) following orders issued by the Directorate General of Trade Organizations (DGTO), the association\u2019s Central Executive Committee (CEC) has said.<\/p>\n
According to the CEC, Mr Syed will continue as chairman for the remaining period of his statutory two-year term for 2024\u20132026, with immediate effect.<\/p>\n
The Central Executive Committee said it acknowledged and respected the DGTO\u2019s decision and would extend full support and cooperation to Mr Syed as he resumes his responsibilities as chairman.<\/p>\n
In line with the DGTO\u2019s decision, the acting charge earlier assigned to Senior Vice Chairman Muhammad Umair Nizam has been withdrawn.<\/p>\n
The CEC said the Senior Vice Chairman, other office-bearers and the entire committee remained committed to working collectively and constructively for the betterment of P@SHA, its members and Pakistan\u2019s IT and IT-enabled services industry.<\/p>\n
It said the association stood united and believed that P@SHA\u2019s strength lay in collective leadership, mutual respect, institutional continuity and a shared vision for the growth and advancement of the industry.<\/p>\n
The chairman, senior vice chairman, office-bearers and CEC will continue to work together to strengthen P@SHA, serve the interests of its members, advocate effectively for the industry and help enhance Pakistan\u2019s position as a globally competitive technology destination, the statement added.<\/p>\n
