RAWALPINDI: Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi inaugurated the renovated and upgraded auditorium of Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR) at a ceremony held on the university campus.<\/p>\n
The auditorium has been refurbished with modern facilities, state-of-the-art technology and an improved interior design to provide a contemporary venue for academic, cultural and official activities.<\/p>\n
On his arrival, the federal minister was warmly received by Vice Chancellor PMAS-AAUR Prof Dr Qamar-uz-Zaman, Registrar, deans, directors, faculty members, administrative officers and a large number of students.<\/p>\n
The minister also took part in a festive procession and visited different stalls where students displayed technological innovations, academic projects and creative work. Later, he formally inaugurated the upgraded auditorium.<\/p>\n
Addressing the ceremony, Muhammad Hanif Abbasi congratulated the vice chancellor, university administration, faculty members, staff and students on the successful renovation and upgradation of the auditorium.<\/p>\n
He appreciated the auditorium\u2019s modern technological facilities, upgraded infrastructure and aesthetic interior. He said politicians and public representatives had a responsibility to support the development of educational institutions and help provide better opportunities and facilities to the youth.<\/p>\n
The federal minister announced that an international-standard sports complex would soon be established at PMAS-Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi.<\/p>\n
He said efforts were also under way to further develop and improve sports facilities at the university, particularly the university ground, which is being used for academic, sports and community activities.<\/p>\n
Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Qamar-uz-Zaman thanked the federal minister for his support and cooperation in the renovation of the auditorium and for his interest in the development of sports facilities at the university.<\/p>\n
He said the university administration was committed to continuously improving infrastructure, providing students with modern facilities and ensuring a conducive educational environment.<\/p>\n
The vice chancellor said modern educational institutions required not only quality classrooms and laboratories but also well-equipped spaces for academic interaction, conferences, seminars, cultural activities and intellectual engagement.<\/p>\n
