LAHORE: TECNO has confirmed that its POVA series is returning to Pakistan after more than two years, with the company saying the comeback has been shaped by sustained demand from local users.

According to TECNO, the POVA Curve 2 5G will be introduced in Pakistan as a combination of “Beauty and Beast” in one device, marking a new direction for the POVA line in the country.

The company said the decision to bring POVA back was driven by feedback from users rather than internal planning alone. Over the past two years, TECNO Pakistan continued to receive the same question across launch posts, direct messages, fan communities and other social channels: when is POVA coming back?

TECNO said its social listening showed that existing POVA users were still discussing the series, while those who had missed it were waiting for another opportunity. The company said this continuing interest led to the decision to return POVA to the Pakistani market.

The upcoming POVA Curve 2 5G is being positioned as an all-rounder rather than a phone built around only one feature. TECNO said the device brings together both design appeal and durability, without one aspect coming at the cost of the other.

On the design side, the company has highlighted curved glass, a notably slim body and colours selected to stand out. However, TECNO has not yet disclosed the exact slimness of the phone or the colour options that will be offered in Pakistan.

On the durability side, TECNO said the POVA Curve 2 5G has been built for conditions faced by phone users in Pakistan, including dust, rain, heat, crowded commutes and accidental drops. The company said the phone will come with all-round environmental protection and drop protection, though the exact level of protection has not yet been revealed.

Other key details, including internal specifications, price and launch date, remain under wraps. TECNO said more information will be shared soon.

POVA had gained a fan following in Pakistan by exceeding user expectations, and TECNO says the returning model is intended to continue that approach. For now, the company has confirmed only that the wait for POVA fans in Pakistan is nearing an end.
