{"id":21381,"date":"2026-10-09T06:57:43","date_gmt":"2026-10-09T06:57:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.peakpoint.pk\/en\/hbl-psl-12-window-confirmed-for-march-may-2027\/"},"modified":"2026-10-09T07:00:04","modified_gmt":"2026-10-09T07:00:04","slug":"hbl-psl-12-window-confirmed-for-march-may-2027","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.peakpoint.pk\/en\/hbl-psl-12-window-confirmed-for-march-may-2027\/","title":{"rendered":"HBL PSL 12 Window Confirmed for March-May 2027"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>MOHSIN ALI<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>ISLAMABAD: The HBL Pakistan Super League will return in 2027 with its 12th edition scheduled to be played from 18 March to 2 May, the league confirmed on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>All eight franchises will be back in contention for the title in what is expected to be another major season for Pakistan\u2019s premier cricket competition.<\/p>\n<p>The tournament window was finalised after detailed consultations with key stakeholders following the PSL Governing Council meeting held in London on 1 September 2026. Owners and representatives of all eight HBL PSL franchises attended the meeting.<\/p>\n<p>HBL PSL 12 will follow a landmark 2026 season in which the league featured eight teams for the first time. The previous edition also saw the introduction of the first-ever player auction in place of the draft system, while the final at Gaddafi Stadium attracted a record crowd of 32,461.<\/p>\n<p>Peshawar Zalmi lifted the 2026 title after defeating debutants Hyderabad Kingsmen by five wickets on 3 May 2026, ending a nine-year wait for the trophy.<\/p>\n<p>With the window for the next edition now announced, the league will move towards several key stages, including Direct Signings, Retention announcements, the Trade window and the Player Auction.<\/p>\n<p>PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said HBL PSL 11 had shown what the league was capable of, citing thrilling moments, record crowds and record broadcasts.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHBL PSL 12 will raise the bar further,\u201d he said. \u201cWe are committed to delivering another outstanding season and look forward to seeing all eight franchises compete once again for the title.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>HBL PSL Chief Executive Officer Salman Naseer said last season had changed expectations from the league and the organisers intended to meet those expectations in 2027.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday\u2019s announcement is only the first step, Direct signings, retentions, the trade window and the auction will each bring their own excitement in the months ahead,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEight teams, eight squads hungry to go one better and millions of fans across Pakistan and the world already counting down the days.
