Under the revised schedule taking effect from October 26, flights will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

The additional frequency is intended to increase passenger transport capacity between the two countries and provide greater convenience to tourists, business travellers and transit passengers. The revised schedule is also expected to offer passengers more flexibility in planning their journeys.

Officials say the enhanced service will create further opportunities to strengthen business, tourism and cultural linkages between Uzbekistan and Pakistan.

The new flights are expected to be particularly important for increasing tourist traffic from Pakistan to Uzbekistan, promoting pilgrimage tourism and highlighting Uzbekistan’s rich historical and cultural heritage at the international level.

Improved air connectivity will also make travel more convenient for tourists planning visits to Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva, the major historic centres located along the Great Silk Road.

The enhanced schedule is further expected to support Tashkent’s position as a regional transport hub, opening additional opportunities for arranging tourist trips to other Central Asian countries.

In 2025, more than 20,000 tourists from Pakistan visited Uzbekistan. During the first nine months of the current year, the number reached nearly 20,000, reflecting the significant potential for further growth in tourism ties between the two countries.

Overall, the increased frequency on the Tashkent-Islamabad route is expected to strengthen transport connectivity, encourage two-way tourist flows, and expand trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between Uzbekistan and Pakistan.

At present, a total of eight scheduled flights are operated between the two countries every week. These include four flights on the Tashkent-Lahore route, two on the Islamabad-Tashkent route, while services are also operated between Tashkent and Karachi.

With the launch of the additional service, the total number of scheduled flights between Uzbekistan and Pakistan will rise to nine per week.

Uzbekistan Airways will revise its Tashkent-Islamabad schedule from October 26, increasing weekly flights to improve travel, tourism and business links.

[94

post-21564","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-pakistan
["GET
