RAWALPINDI: The third one-day international between England and Sri Lanka concluded at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium under comprehensive security and traffic arrangements supervised by senior police officers.

According to a press release issued on October 23, 2026, City Police Officer Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera, SSP Operations, the Chief Traffic Officer, SP Security, divisional SPs and other senior officers remained present to oversee the arrangements for the match.

Nearly 6,000 officers and personnel of Rawalpindi Police performed security and traffic duties during the event. Spectators arriving at the stadium were allowed entry only after passing through walk-through gates and undergoing complete body searches.

The stadium and its surrounding areas were continuously monitored through CCTV cameras. Expert marksmen were also deployed on rooftops along the route and around the stadium as part of the security plan.

CPO Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera said Rawalpindi Police had ensured foolproof security and smooth traffic arrangements for the international event. He appreciated the officers and personnel for their performance during the T20 matches and the tri-nation series matches in Rawalpindi.

He said the safe and facilitative environment provided to cricket fans and teams was the result of the untiring efforts of Rawalpindi City Police and Traffic Police personnel.
