LAHORE: Robson International were crowned champions of the Lahore Smart City Polo in Pink Tournament 2026 after edging Diamond Paints 6-5 in a gripping final at the Lahore Polo Club, where Raja Mikayil Sami produced a remarkable display by scoring all six goals for the winning side.

The title clash lived up to expectations as both teams played with purpose and attacking intent. Diamond Paints entered the fourth chukker with a two-goal lead over Robson International, but the eventual champions staged a strong fightback at the decisive stage to turn the match in their favour.

Raja Mikayil Sami was the standout player of the final, striking six times to account for Robson International’s entire score. His decisive effort in the fourth chukker completed the comeback and secured the 6-5 triumph for his team.

Diamond Paints remained in contention throughout the contest, with Raja Jalal Arsalan firing in three goals and Bilal Haye contributing two. Their five-goal total, however, was not enough to stop Sami’s outstanding finishing from deciding the final.

A large number of spectators and families turned up at the Lahore Polo Club, adding colour and energy to the tournament’s concluding day. Lahore Smart City Vice Chairman Jahanzeb Zahid, Chief Executive Officer Zeeshan Qureshi, Lahore Qalandars CEO Atif Rana, singer Ali Zafar and Lahore Polo Club President Agha Najeeb Raza were among the prominent guests present, along with members of the club’s executive committee and polo enthusiasts.

Before the main final, the organisers arranged several attractions for the crowd, including a glider show, tent-pegging displays and an exhibition match featuring children. The activities contributed to a festive setting and provided entertainment for families and sports fans.

Earlier, Newage Cables/Master Paints won the subsidiary final by defeating Platinum Homes 6-4.5. Raja Taimur Nadeem struck a hat-trick for the winners, while Sufi Hashim scored twice and Alman Jalil Azam added one.

For Platinum Homes, who had a half-goal handicap advantage, Omar Asjad Malhi scored three goals and Rosia Lawrance netted one.
