Makkah \u2013<\/strong> Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf declared Hajj 2025 as the most successful and historic pilgrimage to date for Pakistani pilgrims. He praised the exceptional services and facilities provided to over 115,000 Pakistani pilgrims, stating that the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah had honored Pakistan\u2019s Hajj Mission with the prestigious Excellence Award. Among seven international missions receiving the award, Pakistan ranked first.<\/p>\n

Addressing a post-Hajj press conference in Makkah, Sardar Yousaf congratulated all Pakistani pilgrims and attributed the success of this year\u2019s Hajj to the special attention and leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. He expressed deep gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and the Saudi authorities for their cooperation and hospitality.<\/p>\n

This year, the Saudi government extended historic hospitality to more than 88,300 government-sponsored Pakistani pilgrims. For the first time, pilgrims were accommodated in air-conditioned tents in Mina with features such as gypsum board partitions, sofa-cum-beds, overhead shelves, and enhanced dining provisions that included three meals a day, two snack boxes, juices, fresh fruits, ice cream, and cold water.<\/p>\n

In Arafat, additional air conditioners were installed, and improvements included shaded pathways and grassy lawns. Despite being charged for “D” category services, pilgrims received “B” category facilities. Of the total pilgrims, 56% stayed in Old Mina while 44% were housed in New Mina. To counter flight disruptions due to regional conflict, an emergency strategy was implemented in coordination with PIA to ensure pilgrims reached the Holy Land on time.<\/p>\n

Approximately 73% of pilgrims were transported within the holy sites using the Mashair Train, while the remaining 27% were served by air-conditioned buses. A special transport operation dubbed “Mina Move” involved 1,140 buses and delivered 88,300 pilgrims to Mina over a 16-hour period.<\/p>\n

Sardar Yousaf emphasized that the government Hajj package offered to Pakistani pilgrims was more affordable than those in neighboring countries while still providing superior facilities. In Madinah, all pilgrims stayed in 3- and 5-star hotels within close proximity of Masjid-e-Nabawi, and every pilgrim had the opportunity to visit the sacred Riyaz-ul-Jannah. Catering services were provided by 22 companies in Makkah and 13 in Madinah, selected through competitive bidding, and meals were prepared by Pakistani chefs.<\/p>\n

A new scheme called “Nazim Scheme” was launched, assigning one supervisor for every group of 188 pilgrims to ensure better management. Additionally, a team of 400 medical professionals, including doctors and paramedics, was deployed to provide healthcare support.<\/p>\n
