Makkah, Saudi Arabia<\/em>\u00a0\u2014 In a heartfelt tribute ceremony held in Makkah today, the Pakistan Hajj Mission honored the exceptional dedication of its welfare staff, whose tireless service ensured the seamless execution of Hajj 2025. The event, led by Federal Secretary for the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Dr. Syed Ata Ur Rehman, served as both a celebration of success and a roadmap for future improvements in Hajj operations.\"\"<\/p>\n

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Ata ur Rehman emphasized the significance of early planning and continuous training. \u201cA thousand-mile journey begins with a single step,\u201d he said. \u201cWe will begin training our Nazims and welfare staff well in advance, and pilgrims will receive guidance from the moment they enroll.\u201d He further announced a renewed focus on specialization and transparency in staff selection, stating that future appointments will prioritize candidates with in-depth knowledge of the holy sites of Mina and Arafat.<\/p>\n

The Secretary credited the success of Hajj 2025 to the seamless coordination between the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Office of Pilgrim Affairs Pakistan (OPAP).\"\"\u201cOur departments worked in perfect harmony, and we intend to deepen this collaboration for an even more refined experience in the future,\u201d he said. Even as this year\u2019s pilgrimage operations wind down, Dr. Rehman assured that full support would remain in place until the last Pakistani pilgrim departs.<\/p>\n

Director General Hajj, Abdul Wahab Somroo, praised the welfare staff\u2019s efforts, calling their service the cornerstone of this year\u2019s success. \u201cBecause of your commitment, Hajj 2025 was a triumph. But we must now look ahead. We\u2019re setting our sights even higher for next year,\u201d he said. Somroo outlined specific plans for improving accommodations, particularly for elderly pilgrims, promising greater access to ground-floor rooms in Makkah, Madinah, Mina, and Arafat.<\/p>\n

Chief Coordinator Makkah, Dr. Mirza Ali Mehsood, reflected on the spiritual privilege of serving pilgrims. \u201cIt is a divine honor entrusted to us by Allah. The reward lies not only in the work itself but in the sincerity with which we serve His guests,\u201d he stated. Dr. Mehsood also applauded the introduction of the National Testing Service (NTS) for staff recruitment, a move he credited to Dr. Rehman\u2019s vision for fairness and meritocracy. He praised the implementation of the Nazim system during pre-Hajj operations and emphasized its importance for post-Hajj services.<\/p>\n

Zulfiqar Khan, Coordinator Makkah, extended gratitude to every member of the Hajj 2025 team, recognizing their round-the-clock efforts to ensure the safety and comfort of pilgrims.
