In a key gesture of appreciation, CPO Syed Khalid Hamdani awarded a commendation letter to SP Rawal, Muhammad Haseeb Raja, recognizing his commendable performance in ensuring public safety. CPO Hamdani reaffirmed that protecting the lives and property of citizens remains the department\u2019s top priority, with police working around the clock to maintain peace and combat crime.<\/p>\n
In a separate and swift response to a homicide case, Waris Khan Police arrested a woman and her son within hours of a fatal stabbing incident involving a 17-year-old boy. The suspects were apprehended following CPO Hamdani\u2019s immediate directive for their arrest. Preliminary investigations revealed that the murder stemmed from a personal feud. Police continue raids to apprehend additional suspects linked to the crime. Meanwhile, SSP Investigation chaired a performance review meeting with SDPOs, SHOs, and station clerks of the Gujar Khan Circle. During the session at Police Lines, he directed officers to expedite the arrest of suspects in serious cases, ensure senior officers personally supervise such investigations, and crack down on absconders and drug peddlers. He also stressed the importance of thorough documentation, respectful treatment of citizens, and prioritization of public complaints.<\/p>\n
Elsewhere, Banni Police arrested an individual transporting fireworks after stopping a suspicious motorcycle and recovering 200 firecrackers. The suspect was taken into custody, and both the fireworks and the motorcycle were seized. SP Raja warned that those endangering public safety with fireworks will face legal consequences.<\/p>\n
In another successful operation, Waris Khan Police arrested a proclaimed offender wanted in a 2022 criminal breach of trust case. Using human intelligence and other investigative methods, officers tracked and apprehended the fugitive. SP Raja pledged continued action against habitual offenders and their accomplices.<\/p>\n
Rawalpindi Police also arrested four individuals in separate narcotics operations. Naseerabad Police seized 1.58 kg of hashish, Kallar Syedan Police recovered 550 grams, Chaklala Police confiscated 10 liters of liquor, and Gujar Khan Police seized 5 liters of liquor. SSPs across divisions reiterated that drug traffickers preying on the youth will be held accountable.<\/p>\n
Additionally, four suspects were apprehended for possession of illegal firearms in coordinated operations across Sadiqabad, Naseerabad, Gujar Khan, and Jatli.
