The session marked a smooth and unanimous decision, reflecting cross-party consensus and confidence in Mr. Ahmad\u2019s leadership.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"480\" data-end=\"811\">The meeting commenced with a welcome note and procedural briefing by the Additional Secretary (Committees), National Assembly Secretariat. Nawabzada Mir Jamal Khan Raisani, MNA, formally proposed Mr. Ibrar Ahmad\u2019s name for the chairmanship, a motion that was promptly seconded and supported by all present members of the committee.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"813\" data-end=\"1078\">Following his election, Mr. Ahmad expressed heartfelt gratitude to fellow members for their confidence in his leadership. He assured the committee that he would steer its proceedings with mutual understanding and inclusivity, aiming for productive legislative work.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1080\" data-end=\"1360\">The Additional Secretary and Joint Secretary (Committees) extended congratulations on behalf of the Honorable Speaker, Deputy Speaker, and Secretary General of the National Assembly, pledging full support to the newly elected Chairman for the efficient operation of the committee.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1362\" data-end=\"1552\">Chief Whip of the ruling party, Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, also congratulated Mr. Ibrar Ahmad and pledged his continued support for the committee\u2019s legislative and oversight responsibilities.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1554\" data-end=\"1842\">Members who attended the meeting included Ms. Tahira Aurangzeb, Ms. Nuzhat Sadiq, Dr. Nelson Azeem, Mr. Irfan Ali Leghari, Syed Rafiullah, Nawabzada Mir Jamal Khan Raisani, and Ms. Rana Ansar.
