Islamabad<\/em>\u00a0\u2013 The Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR)<\/strong> has entered into formal academic partnerships with four prominent Bangladeshi universities, marking a major milestone in its internationalization efforts. The Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs)<\/strong> were signed with the University of Asia Pacific<\/strong>, Daffodil International University<\/strong>, International Islamic University Chittagong<\/strong>, and North South University<\/strong> at a signing ceremony held at the COMSTECH Secretariat in Islamabad<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The event took place under the patronage of the OIC Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation (COMSTECH)<\/strong>, where the initiative benefited from the facilitation of the COMSTECH Consortium of Excellence (CCOE)<\/strong>. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Choudhary<\/strong>, Coordinator General of OIC-COMSTECH, was present as a witness and played a central role in initiating and guiding the collaboration.<\/p>\n

The MoUs lay the foundation for comprehensive academic cooperation<\/strong>, including faculty and student exchanges, joint research projects, shared educational programs, and enhanced mobility for scholars and researchers<\/strong>. The partnerships are designed to build long-term relationships and expand knowledge networks between Pakistan and Bangladesh in the higher education sector.<\/p>\n

On behalf of their respective institutions, the agreements were signed by Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman<\/strong> (Vice Chancellor, PMAS-AAUR), Prof. Dr. Qamrul Ahsan<\/strong> (University of Asia Pacific), Prof. Dr. MD. Lutfar Rahman<\/strong> (Daffodil International University), Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali Azadi<\/strong> (International Islamic University Chittagong), and Prof. Dr. Abdul Hannan Choudhury<\/strong> (North South University).<\/p>\n

In his remarks, Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman<\/strong> emphasized the transformative impact of international academic linkages. \u201cThis collaboration is a significant step toward promoting academic excellence and fostering global engagement. By working together, we can address shared academic and societal challenges more effectively,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n

The Vice Chancellors from the partnering Bangladeshi institutions expressed enthusiasm about the initiative, highlighting the mutual benefits for students, faculty, and research communities<\/strong>. They affirmed their dedication to activating the terms of the MoUs and pursuing meaningful academic outcomes through structured collaboration.<\/p>\n
