Rawalpindi<\/em>\u00a0\u2013 Newly appointed Deputy Coordinator (Minority Wing), Punjab<\/strong> of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Kashif Yousaf<\/strong>, reaffirmed the commitment of the party to ensuring equal rights and opportunities for the Christian community<\/strong> across Pakistan. He made these remarks during a dinner gathering in Rawalpindi, where political, religious, and community leaders came together to mark his appointment.<\/p>\n

Kashif Yousaf thanked the senior leadership of PML-N for their trust, pledging to serve all communities in Punjab with dedication and inclusivity. He especially praised Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif<\/strong> for her continued efforts in spearheading development projects throughout the province<\/strong>, stating that the public, including minorities, are directly benefiting from these reforms.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhenever Rawalpindi and Punjab saw real progress, it was under PML-N leadership,\u201d he remarked, citing landmark projects such as cardiology and urology hospitals, as well as new universities and colleges<\/strong> in Rawalpindi, which he described as \u201cgifts for the people\u201d and a source of relief for patients from remote areas.<\/p>\n

Yousaf highlighted the historic and ongoing contributions of the Christian community<\/strong> to Pakistan\u2019s progress. \u201cFrom doctors and engineers to pilots and army officers, the Christian community has always stood for the country\u2019s betterment. We are all Pakistanis. Our identity is our nation,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The event was attended by a diverse range of prominent figures, including PML-N Rawalpindi Division President Kamran Bhatti<\/strong>, Chairman IFGF Pastor Justin Javed<\/strong>, General Secretary of Rawalpindi Municipal CBA Pastor Shahid Raza<\/strong>, Chairman of Sanatan Dharma Pandit Rakesh<\/strong>, Chairman Pars Rana Khawar<\/strong>, and former Cantonment Board member Parvez Sotra<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In his speech, Pastor Justin Javed<\/strong> reiterated the Christian community\u2019s unwavering loyalty to Pakistan and its armed forces. \u201cFrom the Pakistan Movement to today, we have stood shoulder to shoulder with our nation. Pakistan is our homeland, and we are present in every sphere of its growth,\u201d he declared.<\/p>\n

Pastor Shahid Raza<\/strong> emphasized the importance of service and representation. \u201cIf we serve Punjab with honesty and loyalty, we can represent Pakistan at the national level,\u201d he said. He also urged broader recognition of the Christian community\u2019s roles beyond sanitation services. \u201cCleanliness is half of faith, and that half is in our hands\u2014but we also contribute far beyond that.\u201d<\/p>\n
